I have 20 years art teaching experience, teaching ages 11 to 18 in a West Sussex secondary school. Not only am I passionate about all things “Art”, I make it my mission to help all my students achieve their best.

My Art career started with an Art Foundation course and Brighton Art college, where I discovered my love for three-dimensional design. I went on to Manchester Metropolitan University to do a BA Hons Three-Dimensional design course in wood, metal, glass and ceramics. After completing a Teaching diploma, I settled into my true passion of teaching Art and Design, becoming a lead teacher in Ceramics.

I have a broad subject knowledge of Art from painting and drawing, ceramics, printing, photography, critical and contextual art writing plus much more. I have a thorough understanding of GCSE and A’level coursework and exam work. I am able to offer valuable support to my students that feel they need the additional input to their work.

Being a mum of three (two of which are at secondary school, with one in the middle of his GCSE’s), I am passionate and understand full well the difficulties families and teenagers can face during the exam years. Let me be the friendly face your child needs to boost their motivation and achieve that “Can do “attitude.

I would love to help your child get back on track, especially in present times. It is all too easy for children to feel overwhelmed with work set or become stuck for creative ideas. Let me help your child reach their full potential and realise that they can move their goals.
